SYS-TEC Corporation Awarded Prime Contract for Passive RFID

PETERSBURG, MI, October 8, 2008  

SYS-TEC Corporation announced today they’ve been awarded prime-contractor status by the US Army’s Product Manager Joint-Automatic Identification Technology (PM J-AIT) Office for total AIT and RFID solutions, for a Passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) contract Number W91QUZ08D0033.

Along with Teaming partners L3 (MPRI division), Bent Systems, Kennix and Smartnet, SYS-TEC Corporation will provide complete solutions to the joint services through this $75 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. SYS-TEC Corporation partners providing hardware and software include Intermec, Sirit, Printronix, Globe Ranger and Venture Research.

The pRFID contract greatly streamlines the purchase of passive RFID solutions needed by the Government. SYS-TEC Corporation and its partners can provide a wide array of pRFID solutions required by the DoD. The hardware, software, and services involved within any pRFID project can readily be procured through this contract. PM J-AIT evaluated and analyzed all of the various vendors before choosing SYS-TEC and their partners, so that end-users can quickly and easily call on the provider to stand-up a solution. There is early interest in using this IDIQ to build upon the extensive infrastructures currently residing within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at all of the Defense Distribution Centers (DDC) across the United States, as well as to support specific projects in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force and authorized NATO Countries.
