Each of the major enterprise systems -- as well as legacy systems that meet enterprise requirements -- is unique.  Each has its strengths, weaknesses, benefits and challenges.  Organizations choose them based on "fit," price, specific strengths by industry, approval by government-authorizing bodies and many other reasons.

However, regardless of which enterprise system you're running, the value of your expensive and complex system ultimately comes down to the ability to provide the system with consistently accurate, timely, and complete information.
